After a truly hard fought negotiations process your bargaining committee and the employer have reached a tentative agreement. We say truly hard fought because after various site pickets and members going up to speak to the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday 10/17, the County came back with a package proposal that is significantly different than anything previously proposed. This contract will bring raises to the membership effective the first full pay period after adoption from the Board of Supervisors. The first pay increase will be 4.75%, 4.25% effective June 28, 2024 and 4.00% effective June 27, 2025. This a 13% pay increase for all eligibility workers. The game changer to this package is a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA). In the last 17 years our bargaining unit had not been able to achieve a benefit this significant.
